Church to Daycare Conversion — Fergus, Ontario

LUMA Build Design completed a full interior retrofit of an existing church building in Fergus, converting it into a licensed childcare facility for the Centre Wellington Child Care Co-op.

 

The project required navigating Ministry of Education compliance, child-height plumbing and fixture requirements, accessible washrooms, new partition walls, mechanical upgrades and full finishes — all permitted through the Township of Centre Wellington and completed within an occupied building.

This is one of the more complex commercial projects we've completed and a good example of what LUMA brings to institutional and conversion projects — local knowledge, permit experience, and the ability to coordinate multiple compliance requirements without losing sight of the schedule.
