A complete down-to-the-studs transformation in Elora. LUMA stripped this home back to its

The Result

What started as a dated, closed-in layout is now a bright, open main floor. The kitchen anchors the space — a custom maple island, quartz counters and floating shelves set against warm wood and clean white. Underfoot, dark oak hardwood runs throughout, grounding the lighter palette. Every surface here is new, but the home still feels rooted rather than rebuilt-from-scratch.

Building in Elora

This home sits in Centre Wellington, where we've been building and renovating for over 20 years. We know the local permit process, the inspectors and the soil conditions that affect how foundations need to be built here. That background means fewer surprises and a smoother build from start to finish.

Is a full renovation more expensive
than building new?

Not usually. Keeping the existing foundation and structure where it makes sense means you put your budget into the parts that matter — insulation, windows, finishes and the custom work you actually see and use every day. On the right home, a full renovation delivers the look and performance of a new build for less.
